Jio vs Airtel Free Wi-Fi Calling: Check if your phone has this feature

Jio vs Airtel

This service, known as voice over Wi-Fi (WiFi), has become active for Airtel and Geo customers.

Airtel is offering this feature in over 100 smartphones, while Jio is offering this service in over 150 handsets.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, the country's leading telecom operators, have recently launched their respective free WiFi calling services so that customers can get voice over Wi-Fi in their homes / offices.

This service, known as voice over Wi-Fi (WiFi), has become active for Airtel and Geo customers.  Moreover, both telcos have made this service available across India and can be accessed on any broadband connection.

This is a recent development because Airtel previously provided only Wi-Fi calling on Airtel's Extreme Fiber Broadband service, however,
last week, Airtel expanded the service of any home or public Wi-Fi network to take on rival Jio.

The services provided by both telecom operators are somewhat similar.  Both offer free service for home calls and customers do not need any additional calling app or SIM to take advantage of the calling features.

The biggest difference between Airtel's WiFi calling feature and Jio's WiFi calling feature, however, is in proportion to the supported device.  Airtel announced that its WiFi calling feature will work on more than 100 smartphones that support the HID calling feature, while Jio is offering this service in over 150 handsets.
